Sandos Playacar advice

We will be travelling to Sandos Playacar in 2 weeks with our kids ages 5 and 8.

Is one building better than the other (#1000 or #2000) in terms of proximity to the beach, kids club etc.

If staying in building 1000, does the "Royal Club beach area" occupy a lot of room, or is building 2000 better in terms of beach area?

Is the main pool for all ages?

Any other tips are welcome!!

The buildings face each other so no difference in proximity to the beach. If you stay in the 1000 building you have slightly better chance of an ocean view. We are going for our 5th visit in May , however we don't have young children.

Buildings 1000 and 2000 are stretched along the beach with the entrance to the beach between them. There is green area between the buildings and the sand so both distances are equal to sand. However the Select and Royal areas are to the south (for lounges, etc) so the lounges are closer for standard guests. Volleyball and other sand games are on the wide expanse stretching to the water.

Both buildings have rooms overlooking the pool and common area (mainly restaurants) and the courtyard up to the meeting point. It is in this area that most of the kids activities are so your room may face away from the ocean...ask to see the room before you accept it during check-in.

The main pool is for all ages. There are no water park type activities like at the Caracol. Kids club and miniature golf are to the north side of the resort behind the sports bar. Get the map to familiarize yourself with the layout of the resort.

The rooms (#1000 or #2000) are the same only with a different view.

Kids will have so many activities to participate in, im sure they will have lots of fun.

Please send me an email with your reservation info.
