Take US $, then you can convert what you want to into pesos, either at your hotel, or you'll find lots of currency exchange places on 5th avenue in PDC.

All stores, taxis, etc. will accept USD. Some will give you change in USD, some in pesos.

You can always use your ATM card, and it dispenses pesos, so watch the conversion (i.e. 10,000 pesos is $100US.

We never convert to pesos, everyone accepts US $$ and it is very easy to convert in your head.

If you buy from locals, you tend to get a better deal if you work in pesos, they tend to not give a good exchange rate.

Use the ATMs for pesos--you will get the best exchange rate. Always best to use the local currency wherever you are.
