Health Insurance

I'll be arriving in Merida on 10 July and will be looking for health insurance. Problem is, I'm 70 -- and all the insurance sites I've visited have a maximum of 69 for initial coverage. I shall be most grateful for any suggestions.

Check with whomever you have health insurance in NJ - they may (if you're lucky) already cover you for travel and if they don't, they might be able to add a rider to your existing policy.

If you don't have insurance in the US, the good news is that treatment in Mexico will likely be a lot cheaper than at home.

**I'm making the assumption that you're vacationing in Merida. If you're moving there permanently, that's a whole other thing.
