The wife and I did a private trip with entertainmentplus when we stayed in Cancun years ago. We had the driver to ourselves and we went to Chitzen Itza then Ik Kil cenote then lunch.
We then asked to buy a real Mayan hammock and the driver took us to a town in the middle of nowhere and proceeded to take us to a brick shack like home where the whole family were busy making hammocks on this wooden contraption.
They were gorgeous and we purchased one for about 350.00 pesos. The town was like stuck in a time warp and it was really old time Mexico.
We then went to Vallilidad sp? and toured the town. It was one of the most memorable trips we have ever been on!
