Guess what? It is sunny and beautiful…again! Love it!
We went through the usual morning routine of being home and enjoying coffee. Then headed into town and stopped by Isla Animals again to see what was up. They were having a busy day there. All the dogs were walked already and puppies were ALL asleep, so after visiting a bit we headed on our way. We decided to do some shopping and went in and out of the little stores. I think we were restless, and shopping wasn’t cutting it, so we took off in our trusty golf cart. Having skipped breakfast, we decided to check out the Carnitas Esperanza place (behind the Yamaha shop) that we had read about. (I can’t remember who mentioned it here, but thanks!) We stopped there and had some chicken tacos which were pretty good. Very inexpensive-4 tacos and one soda was 69 pesos. We cruised around the island some more, just checking out the sights. Now that Carnivale is over, it seems somewhat quiet on the island.
Back at the ranch we relaxed a bit and got cleaned up for dinner. We headed to El Varadero de Oscar (the pizza and pasta place) to get a pizza. We ordered a New York style pepperoni pizza. Tasted OK, but we had a hard time with the style of cheese they use. We felt it was kind of greasy. Must be the cheesehead in us. LOL The pizza itself is big, and the service is great. The pizza, a cerveza, and a rum punch was 220 pesos.
We decided to have a quiet night and headed for home.
