Can anyone tell me what the GPS cordinates for MUSA? Also can you simply hire a private boat to take you there, or are there tours from IM.
Thanks
The MUSA that we viewed is just off Garrifon it is by Manchones. The statues were starting to get very green with growth. We used Casa Del Buceo to scuba there. Any Scuba outfit can take you there.
Most everyone does tours there to snorkel or dive.
Check out Buzos de Mexico
Thanks for posting that picture, looks like the best part to have seen it is over with now. Not really interested in seeing a bunch of algae. I suppose in a few more years it will be a beautiful reef.
Its still a nice dive. Manchones is en easy dive around 30 to 35 feet. The Cruz De Bahia is also right there.

The individual exhibits that are part of MUSA are in various locations, some right off Isla Mujeres, others farther south. The artist's web site explains where they are (go to the "Projects: Mexico") page and there's a link to a map at the bottom of the page:
From the looks of this map:

Salon Manchones is the installation we dove in November.
yes in a few years it will be a more established 'reef' with more fish- but the main reason we wanted to dive it now, is to be able to see the details of the statues before they are totally covered in coral and shapeless.
Hi answering your first question
The exact Museum location is Lat 21.201497 Lon -86.726975, you can use google maps and type 21.201497 -86.726975 , this and more info is provided in our Buzos de Mexico website, on http://www.buzosdemexico.com/activity-map some diving sites with lots of information, with weather forecast, live cam and great other info worth to look.

Only remember those coordinates are in decimal degrees, it’s only good for google maps, if you convert them to gps numbers it gives: lat 21° 12' 5.3886" lon 86° 43' 37.1094". Please double check this info; otherwise it is really easy to find, you can see the shadows from the surface and it has 3 buoys and a big buy ring on top. If not, ask while you are on the reef there are plenty of boats there they always give information. See ya there, happy bubbles!
