Your top 7, well make that 6!

Ok, to all islaholics.

You were only eating out at night for 7 nights. One of the nights was already pre-decided to be (Olivia's). What would your top list of the 6 must do restaurants be?

OK, we're talking purely about dinner. I'm going to assume you've had lunch at Bally-Hoo, otherwise that goes on the list. Same for Qubano. That still leaves you, in no particular order:

Lolo Lorena (south of town, and RSVP)

Basto's Grill (in La Gloria)

Brisas Grill

Fredy's

Mamma Rosa

One of the coctelerias (Mocambo/Picus/Minino's/Velasquez/Justicia Social)

Of course, there are so many good choices that ten minutes from now I might suggest a completely different list.

Well we went and only had 7 nights to eat out. But there were so many places I wanted to try. The last 3-4 nights we started going out to one place for apps and then another for entrees. I def recommend doing that. it was fun to restaurant hop! I lvoed every place we ate at.

I should also add that many of my personal favorites are not open for dinner or somehow seem more appropriate to me for lunch as opposed to dinner. I always feel a little bad for people who are doing AI and only venturing out to eat at night. That means none of the loncherias, no Barlito, no La Cazuela M&J and (shudder) no cochinita pibil from the mercado. Until recently it meant no Qubano, and Mango Cafe is open for dinner only during high season.

The shame is that those are some of the best meals the island has to offer.

We are not all inclusive and will be going out some days for lunch. In order to narrow the playing field I suggested Dinner. I am compiling a list as I go and I am starting to see several patterns.
