An Isla Slideshow.

The pics are from a number of different trips in the last 10 years.

Anybody else miss the old zocalo?

Abolutely beautiful and each one makes me want to fly back now.

Was the slideshow in order from old IM to latest IM? It would be cool to see how the Isla has changed over time.

Thanks for the slideshow!

No, not in order. Just from about 15 different visits. Not going back until Feb 2012. It'll be ayear and a half between visits...... the longest ever in the 10 years I have been going. :(

The one thing I wish I would have seen is Punta Sur before the sculpture garden. Not a fan. I just ignore them as I walk to the south point. its my favorite place on the island. did you go out ther?

I am really enjoying your posts. Sounds like some new "Islaholics" have been born? Welcome to the cult..er, club. :)

Yes, although the most exciting part of Punta Sur was not the sculptures nor ruins but our daughter and her fiance sitting on the cliff walls and their other scary death fall stuff..... pictures don't show alot of the depth of vision and don't nearly convey the fear I felt for my kids when they did the "Top of the World" and Titanic King of the World poses on what was for them, the potential, end of the world. :)

Thanks so much, such wonderful pictures. And yes, I do miss the old square with all the ladies lined around selling food, the kids' "theatre" where they put on shows on Sundays, and just the general feel of it. It's very different now. I have to admit I like the sculptures but with or without them Punta Sur is a beautiful place.
