how are the Mosquitoes

Hello,

Anyone just recently visited Isla, how were the mosquitoes. Travelling with young child so it would be good info to have. thanks

I am just back from Isla. They were virtually non-existent on the breezy Caribbean side of the island. They do tend to come out at dusk on the Western bay side and the more rural areas to the south. If you are staying outdoors then, bring repellent or buy some Autan when you get there.

hi, well never been but on other forums they have said there is mosquitos and you can buy repellent there or take DEET with you...the mosquitos in Isla do carry Dengue Virus, so just make sure your child wears some repellent...oh the Dengue Mosquito apparently bites during daytime hours when you are most likely on the beach anyways
