Does Isla Mujeres have a Craft Beer company? If so what is it called and where is it?
Isla Brewing located in Salina Chica.
Where have you been? There are a bunch of posts talking about this place. All you need to do is hit "search" and the world is yours.
Get your head out of ....where ever it is...Edited: 9:12 am, March 28, 2018
Rattler, it's ok to ask a question. That's what the forum is for. Like workfortrips said, yes there is one. Have fun!
Uncalled for response in post #2. Yes Isla Brewing Company has awesome beer!
There is no question that Isla Brewing Company has terrific brews.
Thanks everyone! Is Salina Chica near where the ferry ports? I am getting Map Chicks map, hopefully its on them. :)
Good news! I like a little variety in my beer style and get tired of the regular Mexico lagers all the time.
I read some reviews though and it sounds like they are lacking a hoppy-bitter style beer....are there many imports at the grocery store(s)? Like a Lagunitas or Mill St or Granville Island style pale ale?Edited: 2:51 pm, August 15, 2017
Salina Chica is the first village south of downtown...on the eastern side of the isle. From downtown, you go south along the Caribbean Coastal Road (The ferries and Main Street downtown are on the west/Bay side of the isle...turn left/east and go down the eastern side of the isle along the Caribbean.).
You'll go past the airfield, the gas station, and the high school (that's 3 speedbumps). Just before Salinas/the first village..the road splits. One street goes left to follow the coast and the other continues straight into the village. Continue into the village. The brewery is on the left. It's front has red poles and there's a sandwich board in the street. (Parking is on the right hand side of the street). If you come to a street turning left...you missed it...But you'll have your handy dandy MapChick map! It's about a mile and a half from downtown. Enjoy! Nice folks & tasty beer! Free tastings, you can buy bottles to go, and cool merchandise. Closed on Sundays.
