Money Bar packages

Can you go to the Money Bar and not purchase one of the day packages listed on their website? We just want to use the beach, maybe do a little snorkeling with our own gear and grab some lunch and drinks. Not interested in a tour or massage. Thanks.

Thanks for asking this...I wondered about this myself and emailed them but didn't get a reply. Site says 7 different packages but they only display 3. I'd rather just show up and pay as I go (lunch, drinks, kayak, locker etc.)

I actually forgot they have those silly packages, since we just show up, order a beer or botanas and jump in to snorkel.

We visited two years ago without a package. We sat under an umbrella, ordered food and drink and then paid a few pesos to rent the snorkel equipment.

Washrooms are clean, service is good.

Only optional part was renting a locker or snorkel gear

Mslf is correct, just show up and do your thing. Naturally they want you to purchase some food/drinks.

I'm not sure what a 'money bar package' is - we've been going there since it was called Dzul Ha (much nicer Mayan name) and when the Money Bar started and we never heard of a charge for going there. of course, we always have drinks/lunch so I don't know if that makes a difference. btw; be sure to big-tip Roberto, who has been there forever - he works very hard and is the best beach waiter ever. ;-)

Here is a link to the packages. You don't need a package though.

No package. Just show up and enjoy. Package in my opinion is a waste of money. Eat, drink, snorkel. Pay as you go.
