Question for Weatherdood, please.

First, let me thank you for keeping up all updated on Emily!

Now, can you give me any info I can share with the Baja crowd on Eugene? Several folks changed from the Cancun area to Baja and are now getting very concerned! Thanks!

Hey KadD from the Baja forum....it's Buckybruce.

Haven't heard about this one...Eugene? is this a Pacific storm?

I thought they called them typhoons when they were in the Pacific?

Is it just a tropical storm at this point. I'll check the NOAA site for a satellite update.

Kat

check out this link to the NOAA site...you can quite clearly see Emily hitting the coast of Texas and Northern Mexica, and Eugene forming just below the Baja penisula.

From what I read, I think Cabo will be ok...maybe some clouds and light rain as the outer bands pass by.

I looked at accuweather and think you are right, as long as things don't change! Fingers crossed!

Kat -- Eugene is heading away, away, away from the Baja, and is forecast to weaken in the days to come. Maybe a few showers early tomorrow with some gusty winds, but things will rapidly improve as the day goes along.
