Cleaning Baby Bottles?

Hi everyone. This may be a stupid question. But I'd love to hear what other parents have done when travelling with a baby to a destination when the water isn't safe for drinking. Obviously we would use purified water for the baby to drink. But how do you clean the bottles?

Can you just use hot tap water with dish soap to clean the bottles?

Or do you need to boil a pot of water and use that to clean bottles?

Some other disinfectant solution?

Resorts in the Hotel Zone have filtered water. While I certainly don't drink big sips from the tap, I clean my hands, take showers, and brush my teeth with the water. Unless I'm way off base, you can use hot tap water and dish soap to clean the bottles.

You can also use bottled water to clean the bottles.

Also, most hotels will bring you boiled water if requested for cleaning.

Why not use bottles with disposable liners for the trip? Then no worries about washing them.

They don't appear to be all that expensive either. https://tinyurl.com/yas8rkou

If you are staying at a resort with kitchens in the villas like the Royal Resorts we just use the dishwasher on hot wash.

I washed them in hot tap water and dishsoap, then rinsed with the bottled water.

All most all the resorts in the hotel zone have switched to full filtration system years ago. Most resorts also have bottled water in rooms to use as well. You can always email your resort to find out exact details as well as your different options. And if still your uncomfortable disposal liners.

I just wash them in the sink with hot water and soap. Never a problem with all my kids since they were infants.

Hot water and soap when my son was 6 months old. He has been to Cancun 3 more times since then. He is 4 years old now and doing very well.

Hot soapy water (tap is fine) and allow to air dry. You're not drinking it you're washing with it. Realize that the tap water in Cancun (at least in the Hotel Zone) reeks like it has been heavily chlorinated so it has been very well treated..
