Veracruz by bus

We have traveled in Mexico by bus often, and if possible, would like to bus from Los Angeles to Veracruz.

Any information would be appreciated.

The bus from Los Angeles to Mexico City takes aprox between 42 to 48 hrs. The cost is $200.00 o/w p.p

If you check Volaris you could get a r/t fare from Tijuana to Toluca for $220.00 p.p (taxes included). Volaris has a shuttle from San Diego to Tijuana and from Toluca to Mexico City (Santa Fe) where you can take a cab to the TAPO and take your bus to Veracruz (5 to 6 hrs).

Take a plane. You will be a zombie at the end of the trip. If you can get a cheap flight into the Mexico City airport from TIJ, you can then take a direct bus from Mexico City airport to Puebla. The ticketing counter is near the food court on the internationsl side of the airport. Be sure to ask for tickets to "CAPU" because there are two bus stations in Puebla. It's a 2 hour bus trip. When you get to Puebla get a bus to Veracruz using the bus line "ADO". They are the best bus line that serves the whole east side of Veracruz.

You can get an ADO bus at the airport directly to Veracruz and bypass Puebla.
