Trip to a wedding at Malinalco in October

We, me my husband and our 3 yr daughter, are going to friends' wedding at Malinalco in October! I am very excited and feel quite clueless since I never been to Latin America.

We travel quite extensively (incl. our daughter) in Asia since I was originally from Taiwan, and our little girl did great on long trips since she was 7 month old.

We are pretty sure that we will fly into Mexico City to stay at least two night there at Casa Gonzala, and visit the Anthropology Museum at least. We don't want to stay at the Mexico City too long, but rather stay around the Mountain/villages.

But we are not sure what else to do. I know that Malinalco is a very charming small town, but not sure if there are other little towns around there that we can hit by bus.

Please give us your thought! I truly not sure what to expect at all!

Armier Mama,

Malinalco itself is a nice almost magical place with an achaelogical zone and, yes, you willbe close to nice places accesible using public transportation. Do not miss Toluca, Metepec, Tenancingo, and Ixtapan de la Sal just to mention a few places.

To get a taste of Mexico City take the Turibus (http://64.78.37.75/turibus/recorrido_turistico_df.html) with one ticket you can go on and off the bus if you want. There is a stop by the Museo Nacional de Antropología and many other important spots in the city.

If you have more doubts, we will be more than happy to help.

Feliz Viaje,

KM
