Mexico city beaches

guys

i'm planning a family vacation to mexico city but wanted to spend 3 days there and 2-3 days possibly at a beach destination nearby. Is there one or any calm place I can go to spend last couple of days of the vacation? Driving to this place would help and hope would be safe

Thanks

Acapulco is the nearest beach resort - there is a very good highway. Once you get out of the city limits and on the highway to Cuernavaca which then changes into the highway to Acapulco, you are four hours away. Acapulco has something for everyone and is packed with Mexico City residents on weekends.

There are also beaches on the Gulf coast at Veracruz which is also around a five hour drive in total. Beaches are less nice but fine.

Flying on Interjet will give you a low cost ticket to Cancun or Los Cabos or Puerto Vallarta which are much nicer, but a bit of a drive.

You need to check with Interjet for flights to either coast. Driving for a couple of days is not practicable.
