Beach music

I love music, play it and make it. I love listening to it. But, for the life of me, I can't understand why it seems mandatory for there to be loud and often competing music at every poolside and beach we go to in Puerto Vallarta. I want to listen to the sounds of the surf, the waves crashing onto the beach, the sound the water makes as it pulls back over the rocks. Not Lady Gaga. Is it just me?

It's the canned music that annoys us, not the strolling mariachis who we love.

Strolling musicians and drummers are part of the color of Los Muertos Beach, as are the vendors. If a bar has loud music that I'm not enjoying, I'll head north a bit. I go to Los Muertos Beach for it's life. I love going for a walk, stopping by to give some business to Langostino's. I head toward Sea Monkey, where I hope to run into a friend or two.

"nobody mentioned the African Drummers"

When they come by we just sing this song…although it really dates us (-;

perhaps you should be going to a " preferred quiet side" of a resort as most people are there for the social aspect...an option

I definitely don't spend my time on Los Muertos expecting peace and quiet. It's never been that place.

We don't do the resort thing anymore as it just doesn't work for us. All inclusives seem pointless to us in Puerto Vallarta where there are so many different excellent restaurants. Also we're just not heavy on the drinking so free booze is lost on us. Twenty years ago, now that was a different situation.
