One day in port.....question for you

Hello, we will be coming in for one day on a cruise ship. We will be on a tour to Las Caletas, and afterwards will be dropped off at the port at about 3:00. We would like to go for drinks and snacks at the Cheeky Monkey, but must be back on the ship no later than 6:00. Can someone tell me approx how long it will take a taxi to go from the port to the malecon?

Thanks so much, we can't wait to come to Puerto Vallarta!

A cab from the Marina to the Malecon is about 10 mins, costs 50-60 pesos.

From the cruise ship terminal to downtown will be 15 to 20 minutes depending on traffic. Taxi will be 70 pesos. Do not take a white taxi outside the terminal but walk a 1/2 block up to the main road and catch a yellow city taxi. You can also catch a bus there marked "Centro" for 6..5 pesos each. Taxi price is the total not per person.

I think 60 pesos is more correct and the Marine Terminal taxis haven't been white for a couple of years, they are now a light brown/cream colour.
