Hurricane Willa

We are supposed to fly in tomorrow through next Sat. Very worried about this storm. Should we still come?

Yes, don't cancel your trip, it won't hit Vallarta. It is forecasted to go ashore north of San Blas. You may get some rain Wednesday and the ocean will get rough. The water was smooth today.

Ok thank you so much! Are the days a rain out or just scattered storms right now?

Normally evening rains but if there is a tropical storm passing it may rain all day. If it does there is a great movie theater at Las Islas mall, go and enjoy a movie and then find a restaurant for dinner.

Nothing can be 100% guaranteed but it should pass by and then clear. The ocean will remain rough but just watch for the red flags on the beach and use the pool to swim.

Check NOAA weather

https://www.nhc.noaa.gov/refresh/graphics_ep4+shtml/085932.shtml?mltoa34#contents

NOAA url shows land fall, directly over PV, between 8 am and 8pm Monday 22OCT2018.

Extrapolating it looks like 10 am over the airport.

Delta flight 397 arrives 12:48 pm monday

I would ask the post who stated landfall at SanBlas to cite their source of their data?

Tropical storm watch just went up for PV meaning the Mexican government isnt expecting hurricane force winds in PV. Barring an unexpected shift PV is gonna dodge this bullet

Hurricane Kenna came ashore in the San Blas area, but caused a lot of damage here due to storm surge. We are well protected against storms coming from the south, but not against those tracking in from the west....I agree with others that we’ll probably be fine, but please don’t underestimate the potential for storm surge damage.

Very cloudy now. They are saying here Willa can hit here Tuesday night early Wednesday. Usually protected in the bay but this one has potential to be a problem.
