Hello Everyone.Planning return trip to PV. Need help Please!

Hey Everyone. So after returning from our honeymoon (stayed at Paradise Village in May) we are planning a return trip 3/28/18 to 4/4/2018. We are planning a trip with our 5 year old, as well as 2 other couples, but no other children. We wanted to stay closer to the city, but still wanted activities for our son. We were thinking of staying at Paradise again, but seems incredibly expensive for everyone. We would rather stay some place not as expensive and spend more money on activites... Would anyone recommend any hotels or even rentals, that would be either close to vallarta adventures in Nayarit or close to the malecon that would be suitable for our group... We would prefer to have 3 rooms

Vallarta Adventures also has offices and departure sites in PV, so there is no need to stay in Nuevo if you want to be closer to town. Your dates are one of the busiest times of the year, the week before and the week after Easter. Don't drag your feet on booking.

There is so much more to see & do in PV then in Nuevo. Have stayed at Paradise Village which is beautiful but so far from all the action and everything that PV has to offer. If you are just staying at the resort all the time then

it shouldn't make a difference. Vallarta Adventures has a lot to offer in PV.

Has anyone stayed at Casa Iguana Mismaloya or El Pescador?

Mismaloya is a bus or taxi ride away from the city. It's not a good location from which to easily explore Vallarta. El Pescador's location is better, but I can't tell you anything about it.

Playa Los Arcos is right on Playa de Los Muertos and is a good, family friendly hotel. That might be an option. Pool, restaurant. All the restaurants, shops, etc. are in easy walking distance from the hotel.

The Posada de Roger on Basilio Badillo is a good, budget friendly hotel with a pool. The rooms are clean and comfortable and there is a pool. A room in the interior and away from the street will be quieter.

More expensive, the Molino de Agua condominiums has a 3 bedroom that will accept 7 guests. It's available through www.PVRPV.com.

Hope you find something quickly. Easter is the busiest time of year here.

Check out Melia. Only a couple miles if that far from the Malecon in that far.Has GREAT kids clubs. And it's a fun time for parents also.Check it out on TA.

At the Melia,

Activities here include Playground, climbing wall, camping at hotel, mini disco. Even teens ages 13 to 16 have their own club and special daily activities program including climbing wall (areas for both little and big kids), batting cages, archery, rifle range, tennis clinics, cyber-cafe and video arcade. The Melia Puerto Vallarta has a wonderful entertainment team. Here your family will find organized activities like non-motorized water sports, games, contests, teen discos...you name it. There are

plenty of age-appropriate activities as well as plenty of "stuff" that families will enjoy doing together.

We stayed there 4 years in a row.

There is entertainment for all other ages too. Including adults.

An option that you might consider is to check out AirBnB to see if they have a few rooms close to each other, but that has been a viable option for me in the past. Another idea is to search hotels.com, there are a bunch of boutique hotels in PV that have occasional promotions that make nice accomodations really affordable. None of these options are AI but I think your friends and family will love being in the downtown area, unless you are really just looking for a relaxing getaway.

Also, Vallarta Adventures definitely has their transportation figured out, so no matter where you are staying you won't be limited in that regard. Self-guided tours are also a great way to see the best pieces of PV.

I think it will be difficult to find condos for everyone in the same building at this time on your own. The easiest way to ascertain this at this point would be to contact PVRPV a local rental agency and tell them you want units in the same building. They will be able to search for this kind of request very quickly.

Having said that and not knowing your budget, I would seriously look at Funman's suggestion of the Melia, also the Krystal, and Villa del Palmar which has some larger accommodations, as well as Velas Vallarta, because you will also then have a kids club and the potential for a babysitter on the property if you want one.

If you are leaning towards a kids club, Playa Los Arcos Hotel does not have a kids club, but they are in a great location for a town hotel that is family friendly.

I agree with the suggestion of Melia. When my son was younger we used to stay at Melia. They have a lot of activities for kids & the restaurants offer kid-friendly options.

Melia is a good option though not sure any cheaper than Paradise but is in a great area of PV.

Velas Vallarta is much nicer but thus do is the cost higher. When are you trying to go? Sometimes resorts have

Sales at different times..
