Drink Service at Dreams

Since there is no swim up bar at Dreams, do they serve drinks around the pool and or on the beach? If not, is the beach and pool bar convenient? What is different about the adult pool....besides the obvious......no children?

Last week there was a lady walking around serving drinks. There are fullservice bars at each far end of the property

The resort has a wait staff at the pool and the beach. They also have a bar at each location. The adult pool is the same as the main pool, except no kids as you mentioned. I work for the resort so if you have any more questions, please feel free to message me.

They have excellent service around the pools and on the beach too. Not only that, but every day there was someone pushing a drink cart around the pool area serving drinks as well. Not a full bar set up, but quite a good selection. And if you asked for something that was not on the cart, they were happy to go and get whatever you wanted. Our service was excellent. Enjoy.

People get sick in hot climates by drinking ice-cold drinks in the hot sun ---especially those "umbrella" drinks. Also you can get borracho (pissed out of your mind) very quickly in the sun and in the heat. I drink mineral water "al tiempo" and am careful about drinking to much alcohol on the beach.

I haven't been sick in years following this.

Ice is always questionable.

Tourists often blame the hotel food for upset stomachs and really it is the icy cold and/or alcoholic drinks that "shock" the stomach.

Ice-cold Coca Cola can give you mega cramps.

What is the beach like, soft sand or do we need water sox? Is the water clean and clear and are there waves? Are there enough chairs at both the beach and the pool for all guests? Is there music nightly and if so, what kind at your resort? Thank you so much!

The beach sand is soft. Some areas have tiny seashells in them. The color is like golden brown sugar.

The water Temperature in Janaury is around 83F.

You don't need water socks, but they are not a bad idea.

The water is clear when the ocean is calm or with small waves. When the ocean has larger waves, ( 2 to 3 feet) it is stirred up and not as clear.

There were enough chairs for the beach and pool when we were there in January of this year.

The Music was played in "Desires" Lounge. It was mostly music from the 70's, Disco style. There was not allot of people in the Lounge. The Lounge is indoors and it is quiet outside the Lounge.

Thanks for your reply. We have a large group (20) who are planning to go in March. We like music a lot, so this may be a deal breaker. We enjoy music around the pool and outside at night, sounds like it's only in the lounge and then I'm guessing it's late at night, disco like?
