can someone tell us about the drive to el careyes? we are renting a car...what are the best rental places, too? is it safe and all that?

also, someone reassure me again that the food AND water are safe!!!! we leave in 2 weeks...yea!

Not that are obvious. There is a big over the road highway sign at the turn off for Perula which is the north end of Chamela Bay, so you will know at that point that you are in the area. There is a road sign next to the bridge in Chamela which says Chamela which means you are less than 15 minutes away then you pass a restaurant on the left called Don Lupe which means you are less than 10 minutes away.

As long as you are expecting it I don't think you will have any trouble finding it plus Careyes is about Adventure!
