While I like the garlic shrimp, it is very hard to top a shrimp diablo (shrimp with slice of cheese, jalapeno and wrapped in bacon and grilled)

I have had the shrimp and cheese wrapped in bacon in PV but not with the jalapeno. That sounds really good with jalapeno. Unfortunately I have never seen it i ACA..

Closest I've seen is the surf and turf at the Cabana. Filet migon with a bacon wrap and six garlic shrimp on the side. About $30, it's the high end of the menu.

Lagotex - yes, Bacana beach restaurant does have bacon wrapped shrimp. you can get them with or without jalapenos. they come with a side of rice or fries or a baked potato. Usually you get your choice of 2 of these.my husband and I were just at the restaurant yesterday and ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp. I don't know if it's on the menu but you just need to ask the waiter for it and they will gladly accommodate your request. Enjoy!

Lagotex - by the way, they were delicious. I believe there were 10 bacon wrapped shrimp on the plate. And the price was 125 pesos per order.

I can't swear to it (and location-wise, I don't know if it interests you), but I'm 99% certain that 'Vayma' out at Pie de la Cuesta offers 'camarones a la diablo' — similar to what you're describing. They have about 10 or 12 different shrimp dinners on the menu, but I stuck with the 'al ajillo'.

Their website lists three phone numbers, if you'd care to inquire:

460-2882 or 460-0697 or 460-5260

Hope you find what you're lookin' for.
