FYI - Regarding Torn/Worn U.S. Currency

Just something that we thought to mention ...

Both this year and last - we found that, if any of our U.S. paper bills have the slightest tear in them (or, perhaps, an ever-so-small corner-piece missing) ... OR are very worn-&-aged ... our hotel's front desk (and some business establishments) refuse to accept them - either for exchange or payment.

This year, we were extra-cautious before leaving ... making sure that our bills were in pretty good shape. But we missed a few in between - and had to pocket them for the trip home (or, with "singles", use them for tip-money).

A word to the wise! {:-)}

Has anyone else had this experience?

11. Re: FYI - Regarding Torn/Worn U.S. Currency

And another thing (from last year's experiences) ... for those who may not know ...

Don't try to use US "coin" money in ACA - it's "worthless" (no one accepts it).
