General advice about Zihuatanejo

Hi

We've never been to Mexico and are considering the west coast and wondered if anyone can tell us about food prices/drinks in bar prices / general cost of living prices.

We live in London so can we expect similar prices? Someone told us that it is cheaper to eat out than in Europe but is this still the case?

We are happy with beach shack restaurants / fresh seafood / nothing fancy so how much would you pay for a beer for example? Or a bottle of wine? Or grilled fish (if even available) with no frills in a local eatery?

I appreciate this is a generalisation but any advice would be welcome.

Cheers.

Please post this on the Zihuatanejo forum directly...and you will get all kinds of information. this Pacific coast forum doesn't get much action!
