Loreto - Kids activities

Hi,

We will be visiting Loreto in mid january with our 3 year old. We will be hanging out on the beach and doing some hiking and site seeing and visitng her grandpa who will be in Mulege. Just wondering if any one knows of some other great things to take her to do and if there are any local parks or playgrounds. Thanks in advance.

I think the greatest thing for any three year old is to spend the day on that great big sandbox called the beach. Our two boys could spend hours zooming plastic trucks and playing with tiny plastic army men on the beach. We chased crabs, had hermit crab races, beach-combed, turned over rocks to see what we could see. They were never bored. Just don't forget the sunscreen! Bahia de Concepcion near Mulege is wonderful for kids. The water is shallow along shore and unless the north wind is blowing there are no waves. Another spot might be the beach in front of the Inn at Loreto Bay. If you have a drink or lunch there, you can use the pool, then walk over to the point where you could do some tidepooling. We used to snorkel there before the hotel was built.

Thank you for responding. We plan to spend most of our time on the beach since she loves to dig in the sand and wade in the water. We will do some hiking and some site seeing too. I just want to make sure we're not missing some great kid activity in the area.
