Railay Hotel Advice

Looking to go to Railay for an overnight stay at start of October. Going to be based in Ao Nang for couple weeks. Does weather ever prevent longtail boats getting round to Railay? Worried about booking in advance and not being able to get there in monsoon season. What hotel would you recommend - looked at Railay Princess Resort or Sunrise Tropical Resort villa or Sand Sea Resort? Is there enough of contrast to stay in Railay and see about it in 2 days rather than do one day trip? Haven't been to any part of Thailand before!

Thanks JessieOz..we will be coming from the Airport and did not even concider this idea of going thru Ao Nam Mao..so I would think to do this then we taxi it to the pier from the airport?

Do we need reservations?

Is it a path between east and west that will take Luggage wheels and finally

is there a pier on East Railay?

Tnaks again, Windy

Sunrise Tropical pool is facing to the shore (East side). When the long tail drop all the passenger off. I think Railay Princess's pool is more comfortable.
