Dolomites in late May

We are planning to drive through, and hike in the Dolomites at the end of May and wanted to spend several days in Corvara or someplace in the vicinity. Many of the hotels are closed then... does anyone have lodging ideas at this time? So far, we are confirmed in Sandrio and Treviso before and after... Is Cortina out of the question at this time of the year?

If you want to spend some days in Corvara you can find information and book a hotel here:

For lodging in the Dolomites:

suedtirol.info/SInfo/…EN_EntryPage.html

The cable railway at Passo Pordoi is opened at the end of May.

You can hike withouth any problem, but all the mountain lodges will be closed. Ask to your hotel on the conditions of the paths, as it's easy to find still snow, especially on the north side.

Probably the best place at the end of May is Ortisei. The cable railway to Alpe di Siusi opens on May, 21.

Hope this helps.
