Does anyone know if MSG is added to the food

at Sandals Resort. We were there 2 years ago and

every day something upset my system like MSG has

done before. We have now made plans to get away to Sandals

next March and I need to be aware of this. I have heard that

Caribbean Islands do use MSG to inhance the flavor. OUCH

The most common culprit is a seasoning called "Accent" that is very popular among Bahamian cooks. Unfortunately, it is pretty pervasive in many dishes that are made up in advance, so not sure how much is "cooked to order" at Sandals unless you ask specifcally that no "Accent" be used.

Thanks for your quick response. Oh yes, I remember "Accent"

It's loaded with MSG so I'll check out with the numerous restaurants

to see when it's used and how to avoid it.

Locally, they love to use MSG in many dishes. I don't know why. It's sold by one gallon containers in the local grocery stores!!! The more I try to Understand...the more confused I get. Yes..I'm back.

I have just e-mailed the executive chef of Sandals asking why being

used and what to avoid. Maybe I will get a reply. Will post answers.
