baked goods

I would like to bring a cake into the bahams from a bakery (we are from Canada) should I have it in my carry on or should I put it in my checked luggage?

If it's not in the manufactures seals package, customs will likely confiscate it.

I've had fresh cakes, pies and bagels confiscated in the past.

We baked a cake last week while we were there. Stayed in a fully stocked villa and bought a cake mix at the grocery store.

We also purchased cinnamon buns from a local baker in Georgetown. Who I know also bakes cakes. My connection though was a waiter at the resort we were staying at.
