There is no place to rent rods and/or reels. We just came back, and had to lug everything down. But, even with lots of wind and not much sun, we got a bonefish!

Yes, you have to bring everything you need, they do not have items to rent or buy - except maybe some hooks. We bring more fishing gear to Great Exuma than clothes!

You might see of the Bonefish Lodge on Little Exuma has anything to offer. It is a Peace & Plenty resort -- VERY nice with a great restaurant.

St. Croix makes a really dynamite travel 7' spinning rod that breaks down nicely and has as good of a feeling and action as a one or 2 piece rod.

It is rated for 6 to 15 lb test.

If you combine that with a high quality maybe shimano or diawa reel with an extra spool you could travel light with one spool set for bones and the other for 15 lb test critters like cuda.. gopher
