Harbor Island To Do's

I have four hours on Harbor Island. What's not to be missed?

Thanks for any and all assistance.

We had lunch at Valentines, had a golf cart and drove around. Be sure to take your time at places. It is a small island and unless you plan on going horseback riding on the beach or just haging out on the beach, it can turn into a long day

The day before your visit while you are down there call Michael's Cycles, cell: 242-464-0994, and tell him you need a golf cart at the Govt. Dock, assuming you are arriving via the ferry. He will meet you there and rent you a cart for $40. That's what I did three weeks ago. Tell him Mike from NJ, the old guy referred him to you. When done, you just leave the cart at the dock to return to the ferry that leaves

at 3:35PM.

Go to the H.I. Tourism office on Dunmore Street, one block up the hill from Bay St.. Get a free map of the island. Ride up Church St. and turn left on Dumore and it is a few hundred feet on right.

Ride North on Bay St. and stop at the Girls Banks sand flats (on the map) and see the Lone Tree, a famous landmark you can walk out to and photograph at low tide it is dry.

Ride down the sandy path to the Narrows area where

all the expensive secluded homes are. You will feel like you are on a deserted island and see beautiful

driveways to mostly hidden homes and stunning sea view.

Check out all the beach views via the access points shown on the map of Pink Sands Beach. Feel the powder soft pink sands. Stunning!

You won't want to leave the island. It is so beautiful. I have made 3 day trips there and can't wait to return again in November.
