Eleuthera Booze...

Just been reading all your posts about Eleuthera travels etc....can't wait for our trip time to get here!!! Everyone is so helpful and generous with their travel info! That is so nice!

Now for my question regarding "booze"...we were wondering about wine on the island. Do they have it at the liquor stores?...how are the prices???

Thanks! :-)

Bristol's on Cupid's Cay has the best selection of wine on the island (selections from US, Chile, France, Argentina, South Africa, etc.) and the place is air-conditioned, so their stock tends to be in better shape than some of the other stores. Pricing is fair once you account for transport, duty and stamp tax to actually get the wine on the island; bottles start at $10 and go up from there - and they take credit cards.

Eleuthera is not the place to find fabulous wine, so if you're a serious wine enthusiast, you'll have to ratchet down your expectations. That being said, you can definitely find drinkable bottles that are a step up from Yellow Tail and won't break the bank.

The best restaurant wine list is at Tippy's....they have some interesting wines that you can't find anywhere else on the island.
