Grand Lucayan Day Pass?...snorkeling?

Thinking about heading to Grand Lucayan from cruise port. Just to clarify, sounds like they have day passes for $15pp and offer a shuttle from cruise port for $10pp?

We have our own snorkel equipment, is there any good snorkeling spots off the beach at Grand Lucayan?

Thanks,

Susan

Last I checked Day Passes were $10pp and shuttle was $5pp each way.

The only snorkeling from the beach is if you walk about 10 minutes down the beach to Coral Beach Hotel or beyond. The beach at Lucaya is not good for snorkeling. However, there are plenty of boat tours available there to take you out to the reefs which is better snorkeling anyway. If you have your own gear, you can usually get a good price with O'Neals' on the beach (by Billy Joe's) to take you out to the reef if you don't need a guide in the water with you and you don't have to even walk over to the marina. Don't be afraid to bargain.

Thanks for the reply. So should we just take a normal taxi van over to Grand Lucayan or does the report have specific shuttle we can take? Is there a better resort that offers day passes that you would recommend?

Also, is it difficult to find a taxi/shuttle to get back?

Thanks for all your help!

When you get off the ship you'll see the taxi vans all lined up - these will take you there for $5.00 pp - there is no other shuttle, it's all with the taxis. Very easy to find one back, they are always available at either the resort or Port Lucaya across the street.

Not really sure about other day passes, sorry.
