Kinda bummed.. Chilly weather

Anyone else going to Atlantis during the first week of march? Checking weather forecast and it looks chilly and rainy. I know it's over a week away and if the forecasts are anything like they are here.. Well they aren't always so accurate, but stilla little bummed about it. Wondering if the pools are heated? Either way it'll be better than the frigid temps here, but was hoping for a little bit warmer the low 70s!

I don;t know where your getting your weather info from...but we have had a an above normal winter...a bit of a cool spell last weekend. And the forecast is for temps in the low to mid 80"s the next few days. With a low chance of rain. Local forecast is predicting temps in the low 80;s for the next seven days.....nothing to worry about.

Good to hear. Weather.com makes it sound like its going to be rainy almost the entire time we'll be there. Countdown is 3 days!!!

Weather.com is, IMHO, a pessimistic forecast company. While I am on Paradise I. the forecast daily in May and November on TV almost always says chance of showers and it rarely rained. The best weather forecasts can be found at www.accuweather.com

I've looked at numerous weather reports. Accuweather, weather.com, weather channel, weather bug.. Just to make a few. Thanks though!

It's been my experience that their is rain in the forecast about 50% of the time. It can rain on one island and you can have crystal blue skies on another. We'll be there at the same time as you, facecase, and have been there the first week of March for years. I can honestly say we have never had more than one day of rain in any given week. Wait until just before you leave if you need to know, as the forecast will change 20 X between now and then.

It looks wonderful this weekend as against Valentines when we were there. You're right that it's better than the weather in the States, but there's just not a lot to do around Nassau when the weather is chilly. We wound up sitting in the hotel reading books and watching TV since I try to stay out of the casino. Also, we spent far too much in the restaurants at Atlantis. Make sure you bring some chilly weather clothes because I didn't. I'm glad we didn't bring kids.

Not even sure why I looked cause now I'll

look every single day till we leave! But yes, you are so right, shmirl, forecasts seem to change on the daily. Just not sure what else to do while we are there if its cloudy/rainy mostly because after being in doomcloud Pittsburgh all winter, I'm really am craving sun! I love to lay by the pool all day and not a huge gambler. Boredom and bad weather and I'll want to eat all day, which isn't the most economical thing to do in Atlantis :) Will definitely bring warmer clothes... thanks Daniel!

The forecast looks just fine, temps from the upper 70's to mid 80's during the day, and mild nights. Slight chance of a passing shower any given day. Today in Nassau was down right warm...probably around 82 or 83. Leave the winter gear at home. The winter storms battering the US are staying well north, we've had maybe one or two days of 'cool" weather so far this winter. At most, pack a light jacket. Stop stressing about the weather....your going to be fine.

Upper 70s, low 80s are great! I was seeing highs of only 71/72.. Which will still feel good coming from winter weather here, but was just hoping for warmer. But like was said, every time I look the forecast changes. Oh we'll, no stress here! Still very much looking forward to the trip! First time there, so excited to just go and check it out! :)

Why not just pack a wetsuit or buy one there if you are that concerned? I do just that and the 5mm that I have was enough to keep my warm with water in the low 60's diving in Rhode Island in Oct--a helluva lot colder than it ever would get in the Bahamas.

As for rain, a good rain coat and waterproof pants solves that problem. The weather would have to be truly dangerous (lightning nearby, flash flood, waterspout, etc) for me to stay inside in the Bahamas!! I guess I cant figure out , why people would want to stay inside when paying a lot of $$ to go there......

Seems like such a waste.
