Transportation Cruise Dock to Atlantis

There will be 12 people in our party...what's the best way to get to Atlantis? About how much will it cost? How long does it take to get to Atlantis from the dock?

You have two options, one is to take a taxi, there are plenty taxis outside the cruise ship terminal. Many are larger vans that can probably hold 12 persons. They'll charge you just a few dollars per person, plus the $1 bridge toll and a tip. Taxi will get you there in just a few minutes. Other option is to take one of the ferries to Paradise Island. They dock just outside the cruise terminal. They are not nearly as fast as a taxi, but you get the scenic ride over, you'll see the port, Paradise Island, and the skyline of Nassau, plus an "unoffical" but entertaining tour guide. They charge $3 per person one way. Remember they run on "island time", once they load the boat to full capacity, it's a 10 minute ride, and about 5-10 minute walk to Atlantis.
