Snorkeling and gambling on Paradise Island

If my husband and I take the ferry from the cruise ship to Paradise Island how far is it to the beach? Is the snorkeling good close to the beach or do you have to take a boat farther out? Is there anyplace near the beach to shower and change before going to the casino or is it best to go back to the ship?

How far is the casino from the beach and the ship?

We like to play craps and the slots. Do you have any tips about the casinos and what to do and not do? Can you wear beachwear in the casino?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Pretty much the answer is "NO" to everything you asked. Unless you reserve a room at Comfort Suites. Not allowed to gamble in the casino at Atlantis (and that's the only casino on the island).....wearing swimwear.

There is not much to see snorkeling off the beaches on Paradise Island unless you walk about 1 1/2 miles east down the beach to a rock jetty where hundreds of school size fish congregate. However, if there is a strong onshore breeze the surf will be very rough and there will be no fish there.

Thanks for the info.

We want to take a little tour of major sights of the island and to to the beach, is it better going thru a tour operator or just taking a taxi?
