Hotel with or next to great beach, golf and casino

Looking for a hotel with access to preferably private beach so as to not encounter pedlars, close proximity to golf course and casino. Looking at Atlantis, but also looking into the Riu for it's all inclusive. Group of 10 (8 adults / 2 children (ages 2 and 9) so not needing too much for kids as group mostly adults). Thank you.

Since Atlantis is the only hotel offereing both golf and casino in Nassau at the moment, your choices are limited. Depending on when your trip is planned, BahaMar is projected to open in December 2014. But "private" beach is not really an option at either. In fact, there really is not such thing as a private beach in the Bahamas, as all beaches are public by lawy up to the high tide mark.

Thanks. We are planning to go at the end of this year. Do you know what goes on New Year's Eve there? Also, what about transportation to say Atlantis from the airport? Thank you!!

There are a lot of vendors in front of the RIU on the beach but you can walk to the East to get away from them...

You can get quieter beach if you stay at a timeshare resort or condo... Look at the Paradise Island Beach Club or Blue Water Resort...

New Year's Eve is lots of great restaurant package$, 15-20mins. of fireworks over Nassau Harbour, and JUNKANOO...!

Thanks for the tips. I had looked a little into a condo/timeshare but I know some of our group would like to be within walking distance to a casino/restaurants.

TxtoFrance - you can walk from several of the timeshares/condos to lots of restaurants and also to the hotels/resorts -

e.g. on Paradise Island it's a 5 min. walk from Sunrise Beach Villas to be inside the Beach Towers at Atlantis, and 5 more mins. to the Casino through the lobbies

on Cable Beach it's about the same from Westwind II to the Sheraton, which connects to the Wyndham/Casino...

Happy Planning!

You could call Mr. Photo (242-322-3001) and see if they can recommend someone, or if you rent a condo, call in advance & ask the front desk person... there are lots of choices in a whole range of prices!
