It's definitely pretty surfy right now. As long as you're cautious, you should be fine.

We were on Jost yesterday and the waves were huge. Never saw it like that. We saw one guy get flipped out of his dinghy and with the next wave was flipped back in. It was really serious.

We also saw one woman get hit by a wave and pulled back in, then hit with another huge wave over and over again.

All beaches on STT have had some big waves. Hard to snorkel, if at all. Right now, it's calming down alot.

We just left the island yesterday. Definitely a issue if you want to snorkel. Waves and seas are stirred up. Calmer up by Salt pond. But make sure to bring plenty of mosquito repellent. We got ate alive. There was really no sandy beach area left to set up chairs on Maho and Hawksnest areas.

Just returned last night we lucked out and got somw decent snorkeling in before things got churned up even francis and maho were to murky by end of week. Anyone looking for good snorkeling needs to head south, yawzi, saltpond (mossies where awful but snorkeling was great, klein etc....

Both Haulover and Hansen were murky as well when we went (maybe from the heavy rains?)
