Isle-mon charter

We chartered with Captain Kevin who has recently returned to STJ to start a new business, for two days this trip. He formerly owned Born to Rhumb which is still chartering and is now owned by Andi and Shane, a super nice couple, if you have a group larger than 6 they are the go to boat. Kevin now is running Isle-mon, a 6 pack boat. On our first day he took us on a 65 mile round trip tour that included stops at spanish town virgin gorda, prickly pear island, a great view of Necker Island, Richard Branson's private island, wow, what a spot! We saw Saba Rock, and the Bitter End. We visited the baths, highly recommended if you haven't seen it. We went to Cane Garden bay, and ended at the soggy dollar. It was quite a long boat ride and we burnt a lot of gas but it was really cool to see so much. It wouldn't be a trip for everybody, but for those who maybe have been before, it's worth spending a day really seeing some sites! The second day we did water lemon, a great snorkel spot, then went on to foxys, corsairs, then sandy spit and soggy dollar. It was a gorgeous day! Kevin has a huge amount of knowledge of local sites and history, and he is very friendly and personable. His boat is large enough for 6 with room to spread out, has a great sound system and is fast and stable. I highly recommend chartering with him.

Kevin is alot of fun to travel with and spend a day. He knows all of the great little 'secret' beaches and places to see, and his new boat 'Isle Mon' is VERY comfortable at any speed... Spend the day with Captain Kevin - it'll be a day well spent!

Wow I'm a bit surprised that Kevin is back so soon? I thought he was retiring back to Maine......glad to see he's not in direct competition with his old boat though.....

This sounds like a great trip. When visiting st john i always want to go to the baths but have rented w/out captian and tend to stop at Foxy's, Willy T's and bitter end. Next time will try Isle-mon charter to do everything...

We recently returned from a trip to the VI's and chartered with Capt Kevin on Isle-Mon for the first time and used him before when he was captaining Born To Rhumb. We are glad Kevin is back on St John and nothing has changed with him as a charter Capt other than the name and size of the boat. Kevin is a great captain who is always full of island stories and information to keep you entertained, or you can crank up your favorite music and enjoy the day on the water. He allows you to customize your charter and go wherever you like within reason and is helpful in picking great places to stop for food or drink, snorkel, and dive sites.

Bottom line is Kevin is a great Captain who has a highly regarded reputation on the islands and is always a lot of fun. Not to mention complimentary stocked cooler on board!! We will always go out with Kevin when chartering in the VIs if available and can guarantee you will have a great time with him!!

Thanks again Kevin and Michelle and I can not wait to go out with you again

Went out with Captain Kevin 2 days ago. Awesome trip and the service was beyond our expectations. Kevin picked us up right by our house on the beach. The boat was stocked with Painkillers, (drinks) beer, and water. He took us exactly where we wanted to go and would stop intermittently to show us some really interesting properties that you can only really see from the water, he would then tell us the history of who owns the house(s) and any interesting back stories. We really enjoyed having Kevin as our captain as he's originally from Maine so his demeanor is a mix or Island and Northeast which was refreshing. Great experience and we can't wait to come down again to St. John. When we do I know Kevin will be one of our first bookings...

We were out with Kevin on Monday the 15th. We had a terrific trip, as expected. Kevin is a super nice guy who really knows his business. His boat is in top shape, and is well suited to day trips, plenty of room, plenty to drink, and lots of good stories and info about where we were and what we were seeing. We hit several snorkel spots, some familiar to us, and some not, which was nice. We ended the day on Jost van dyke, you gotta love that island! Kevin went out of his way to make sure we had a great day. Can't wait until we get back and go out with him again! Thanks Kevin!

Just got back from our 7th trip to St. John and had an amazing charter on Isle Mon with Capt. Kevin. If you want a truly unique island tour and BVI experience, this is the boat to go on. Not only did he know great little new places to take us, his knowledge of the area is amazing. It was a little choppy/windy in the morning and he knew just the area to take us to make it a comfortable ride for all. Because this boat is much faster than several of the others in St. John we were able t o explore more areas than usual. The boat was amazingly clean and not to mention some tasty refreshments! I rate Isle Mon on the top of the list of things to do on your stay in St. John!!!

We have been out with Captain Kevin twice, once on Born to Rhumb and more recently on Isle-Mon. We highly recommend him and will go back for our next excursion from St John or St Thomas. He is very knowledgeable of the VI and easy going. He will pretty much take you any where you want to go. We recommend Sandy Spit, Myett's, Foxy's Taboo, One Love, Pussers, and of course Soggy Dollar. It will be one of the best days of your life. Do it!
