The U.S. Virgin Islands are a part of the United States; no passport necessary. Visit http://travel.state.gov for more information. Please verify boarding requirements with your carrier.
Yes..........for the last time.........yes :)
OK, now that is out of my system you need (it has been discussed at length many many times, so forgive my joke)
a) a Passport
OR
b) a Drivers License AND a Birth Certificate with a raised seal.
Hope this helps

ALWAYS check on the US State Dept. website for the latest, accurate information. Otherwise you will either go to a lot of trouble for nothing OR find yourself in a lot of trouble for nothing. Folks on this forum are great for advising on hotels, restaurants, the best places to snorkel, etc. BUT you should always check travel requirements with State Dpt. and Health matters/concerns with the CDC.
but in January of 2008 you will need a passport.
Of course, the cruise ship industry might lobby again to have it pushed back. but as of today Jan 2008 you will need a passport to return to the mainland.
