How far is the ferry to St. John from the cruise terminal. Is it walking distance?

The downtown ferry is not currently running. Before the storms it only ran 3 times a day, so still didn't work great with cruise schedules. You don't say when your trip is, but go to www.vinow.com to find up to date info on the ferries. For now your only option is to take a taxi to the Red Hook ferry.

It's a 20-30 minute walk from either of the two cruise ship ports (or a $4-$5 taxi ride per person). Taxi fare to the Red Hook ferry terminal from either facility is about $12 per person each way. Enjoy your cruise and your day here!

Thanks for your prompt replies. We will be there in February. I will check back closer to the time to see if the ferry is running or not.
