Well, everytime I look at the St Croix newspaper close to Thanksgiving, that's where I want to go! They always advertise so many Thanksgiving menus at a much lower rate than St Thomas/St John, and there always seems to be lots of menu choices. Unfortunately, I never seem to make it!

There's usually live music at the Divi Bay Resort on St Croix, because of the casino, and The Brew Pub in town is a great social spot right on the water.

Live music on St Thomas/St John is suffering this year, because so many places have closed or cut back on entertainment.

I'm sure St John and St Thomas "defenders" will offer their opinions on those islands, so you might still be confused after reading our posts!

Just a comment on your post. If you decide to go to St Croix - which is my favorite of the three - you do not fly into St Thomas (STT), you fly directly into St Croix (STX). If food is important, then STX is the place to go. It has, IMO, the best restaurants in the VI, both US and British. It also has beautiful beaches, lots to do and you can stay right on the beach. It also is less expensive than the other two.

They are all different and each has something for everyone (but each one is not for everyone), so you just need to do your research and find the one that is best for YOU!

Good luck and happy planning. When you decide on the island you should post on the specific forum and you will get more responses.

Hi Saffie11 and Ms411, thanks for the response.

The more I read, I really think it will be st. thomas for a few days and then St. john.

I like having the option of the 2 islands to explore. and Yes FOOD is important. Wwhat hotel would you stay at for the best food or What hotel with the best location and then we can go out for food. We will be renting a car. thanks in advance!!

The hotels on the East End of St Thomas and Bluebeard's Castle in Charlotte Amalie, St Thomas are close to many restaurants, and the Westin on St John is close to the restaurants in Cruz Bay.

However, many people who visit St John stay in villas, but it may be hard to find one over a holiday that will let you stay for less than a week.
