Tom: is that a statistical calculation or a premonition?

hurricane season ends at the end of November, although a couple of years ago there was a pesky "off season" hurricane the first week of December. Provo was "brushed" by Jeanne last year, which was a catagory 4. One year, (maybe 4 or 5 years ago) a hurricane hit beggining of Nov and affected all islands except Barbados, so everyone had to transfer there because alot of the resorts were shut down for Thanksgiving.

They have a saying in the Carribean:

June too soon

July it tries

October it's over (but not really)

You have a couple things in your favor if worried:

Usually hurricanes come off the coast of Africa, and you usually have warning (4-7 days)

Provo is good at getting the tourists out if one is coming

Provo's construction is built to hurricane standards, concrete block

Except for hurricanes, the weather is absolutely gorgeous

It is statistically rare for a hurricane in November

go to noaa.com click on hurricanes, you can click on stats for any place

You'll have a great trip!

LOL-we will keep our fingers crossed that Tom's prediction does not come true-but wouldn't that be bizarre if it did?
