Whale season

Planning our next trip to Provo for February. Are there any boats that do whale watches off Provo? Not interested in flying to another island or actually swimming with them.

There are no official whale watching trips in Provo. Sometimes the divers will see one or 2 on a dive trip.

Really the best place to see them is Salt Cay-and does require a short plane ride. and probably an overnight.

It's not impossible to see them in Provo, just no excursions. An idea for you would be (if will to spend the money) ask around the dive companies/excursions of any sightings. Then you can rent a boat and see if you can find them.

Jess....I know you don't want to fly to another island...still, if you want to see the Whales Oasis Dive in Grand Turk has an excellent trip. I am SO glad I finally did it. We saw so many whales large and the babies. I was there in mid March and highly recommend it!
