Which island for a day?

The wife and I are thinking about a day trip to another island...and we are thinking about taking intercarribean or whatever air carrier would get us there....so if you had to choose another island to visit....why would you visit it, where would you grab lunch, and how would you get around?

We would strictly be doing a day trip...first flight out and last flight back.

Grand Turk. 1st flight over from Provo in the morning & last return about 6pm. Lot's of history with Cockburn Town being the Country's Capital/government center. Rent an A/C car for the best way to get around. I have been over to GT several times. DR. JIM

I agree with DR. JIM! Rent a car or a golf cart, tour the island. Visit Governor's Beach and search for sea glass. It and the beach at the Osprey Hotel are the best for collecting.

Drive along beautiful Duke St., Front St and downtown. Visit the museum, the old prison and the lighthouse. Go to Pillory Beach.

Have lunch at The Sand Bar on Duke St. A great casual spot right on the beach. Great grouper (real, not swai!) sandwich and the best rum punch on the island!

North and Middle Caicos can be reached via the ferry. You then rent a car on North and drive on North and Middle. No flight needed or available, unless you want to helicopter over.

Have lunch at Daniel's Cafe and stop off at Mudjin Harbour and Mudjin Bar and Grill for a drink and enjoy the view.
