We have used a guide named Franklin who was associated with Richmond Vale Hiking. I have been up 5 times and love it.

If you have the time I would recommend the up the windward and down the leeward hike. Takes all day but is well worth the effort.

Just spent a couple of nights at Richmond Vale Hiking. Didn't climb the volcano this time, but Richmond Vale would make a good "base camp" if you want to make an early morning start. Very basic accommodation, but clean and friendly.

We have used the same family of drivers for more than 25 years. The company is owned by Phyllis Peters and her nephew Kishorn has taken our guests up the volcano approximateluy 50 times. He is absolutely excellent and visitors who have used his services have invariably said that "he's the best".

"As Robby and Dawn have stated Phyllis and crew hands down and thumbs up. If you’re really lucky, as we have been in the past Kishorn will be your driver. Ask him to take the long way to your charter base and he’ll show you things about St. Vincent that will make you want to come back. Speaking about back, Kishorn always has yours. He’ll step in if some local wants to take advantage of a tourist on his fare."
