St. Vincent is not known for its beaches. If you have 8 hours, I would hook up with Fantasea Tours and have them take you over to Lower Bay, a golden sand beach in Bequia (they do the trip regularly). Have lunch at Dawn's or De Reef and snorkel off the reefs at either end of the beach.

Alternately, on St. Vincent, take a taxi tour through the Mesopotamia Valley and visit the stunning Montreal Gardens (5EC entrance fee). Then have a late picnic lunch and swim at Bright Beach/Salt Pond.

Alternatively, you could visit the Botanical Gardens in Kingstown and Trinity Falls.
