State of Caribbean coral reefs

See guardian.co.uk/environment/2012/sep/10/carib…

'Caribbean coral reefs – which make up one of the world's most colourful, vivid and productive ecosystems – are on the verge of collapse, with less than 10% of the reef area showing live coral cover.'

Appalling news and sadly most people seem to either dismiss the effects of climate change, blame the local people or just don't care.

Disturbing that cruise ships are one of the biggest polluters and that throughout the Caribbean provision is being made for larger terminals ( Barbados has latest plans). Yet more reason for sustainable and responsible tourism.
