Wedding at FS Nevis -- where to go for Honeymoon

We are having our wedding at the FS in November and now we are having a hard time picking a spot for our honeymoon. Nevis is so beautiful! Does anyone have any suggestions? We were thinking Cap Juluca, or Malliouhana. We want something were there are activities as we know the FS is a bit secluded. Any ideas would be very appreciated!

Cap Juluca and Malliouhana are on Anguilla and if you think the Four Seasons is a "bit secluded" you find those resorts even more so. They are, however, both great resorts. FYI, Anguilla is not known for for being a particularily "active island" - the island is all about beaches (35 different ones) and restaurants (80+ to choose from) and not much else. Go there if you like sitting on the beach, reading on the beach, walking on the beach and swimming by the beach and in between times dining at restaurants. If you are seeking more than that go somewhere else. Lastly, getting to Anguilla from Nevis is a bit of a chore. You'll have to first make your way to St. Martin and from there take a short connecting flight or a ferry to Anguilla.

Perhaps if you tell us what type of "activities" you are looking for it would make it easier to sterer you to another island destination.

I would offer two suggestions-

La Banane on Lorient beach in St. Barts. It is a cluster of about 10 very upscale cabins that are resonablty secluded and it has a great beach. Every amenity. Makes the 4 Seasons look like a Marriott and is a 30 minute flight from Nevis.

The Beach House in Barbuda- Very secluded on a 20 mile white/pink sand beach. About 20 uoscale rooms. Upscale and service, service, service. It is about a 40 minute flight from Nevis via charter or a double 20 minute hop from Antigua.

house111 - The Beach House on Barbuda ran into financial difficulties about a year ago and is no longer operating. Same for K-Club. The only viable resort on Barbuda right now is Coco Point Lodge.

Barbuda is a very sparsely populated island - if kelo79 thinks Four Seasons, Nevis is too secluded he/she will find Barbuda downright in the sticks - there is nothing to do on the island but sit and walk on the beach (they are fantastic - blinding white sand stertching for as far as the eye can see lapped by bright torquoise waters), hike through some caves and take a boat trip across the bay to the Frigate Bird Scantuary. This island is perfect for those really looking to "get away from it all".

CS= Thank you for the update. Too bad as it and K Club were both wonderful hotels. You are correct about the island, but it beauty overwhelms you.

Go to Anguilla for sure! The beaches are all lovely and the hotels are awesome as is the food. If you do get bored, take the ferry over to St Martin for some great shopping at an excellent lunch. For a honeymoon, be aware that the Four Seasons mainly caters to families, families, families, which means, kids, kids and more kids. Even in the off season, there were a lot of kids, Everywhere except the spa. If you really, really want to spend your honeymoon at the Four Seasons and you can afford it, stay in one of the private villas they have on the property which comes with a golf cart, private pool, huge screened in porch, maid service, etc. and they are beautiful. They come in all sizes from 2 bedroom on up.

Just back from two wonderful weeks on Nevis. I hate to be the bearer of possible bad news but you should check out what is happening at the FS as it was closed due to storm damage when we on the island and not expected to open until February. I guess they could be using some parts of the hotel, but our impression was that it was closed. Certainly lots of building and repair work going on.
